Unable to do transaction (online or offline/ at store) using your Pluxee card?

There are several reasons why you could not do transaction using your Pluxee card. Kindly see if any of the below given scenario might have led to transaction failure for you:

  • Card Activation

    All Pluxee cards must be activated before use. Also, as per RBI regulations completion of KYC on card is mandatory.

  • Full KYC

    In case you have not received your monthly credit or amount from your employer in your Pluxee card, your KYC might be an issue.

    It is recommended that you complete your full KYC as with minimum KYC you can hold only INR 10,000 across all your cards (RBI regulation).

  • Ecommerce/ Online transaction blocked

    As per RBI mandate all cards have ecommerce/ online transactions disabled by default. This is to ensure security against fraudsters and prevent misuse.

  • Usage of meal card at non-affiliated merchants

    Meal card can be used only with merchants that are affiliated with Pluxee. Using the card with nonaffiliated merchants will lead to transaction failure.

    Most major online players are affiliated with Pluxee and you can conveniently use your card online. To find offline affiliated merchants around you, we have a detailed video that will guide you: Search Pluxee affiliate merchants

  • Incorrect way of using the physical card

    Pluxee offers 2-in-1 card, which includes two separate cards: Meal and Benefits. You will notice two individual card numbers and CVV given on your card.

    For making payments using the physical card, kindly follow the below given process:

    Meal: 

    When you want to use your meal wallet, meal card – kindly swipe the card at the payment terminal at our affiliated merchant. Amount will be deducted from your meal balance only if you swipe the card (DO NOT dip or use the chip to make the payment). You can use meal card only with merchants that are affiliated with us.

    Other Benefits (Fuel, Telecommunication, Rewards, etc.) and Gift cards:

    For making payments from your benifit reward/ reimbursement wallet/ card – kindly dip the card at the payment terminal, i.e. use the chip by dipping it. You can use this payment method with any merchant that accepts RuPay cards.

    Your transactions might fail if you use the wrong payment method.
