OTP-based payment is a secure way for Pluxee cardholders to transact at Pluxee-affiliated merchants, especially in environments without an Electronic Data Capture (EDC) machine.
Here’s how it works:
- At the billing counter of a Pluxee merchant outlet, the cashier selects the OTP payment option (available for merchants who have integrated Pluxee’s APIs).
- The cashier enters the consumer’s registered mobile number linked to their Pluxee Meal Card or Multi-Benefit Pass.
- The consumer receives a one-time password (OTP) via SMS from Pluxee, which they share at the billing counter.
- The cashier enters the OTP in the system, and the Pluxee payment is processed successfully.
This method is widely used at Pluxee-accepted stores such as restaurants, supermarkets, and retail outlets that are part of the Pluxee merchant list in India.
