Employees can use the food card at Pluxee-affiliated food outlets or online food platforms. Payments can be made via swipe, tap, or QR code using the Pluxee India app.
Who can get a food card?
Any employee receiving a food card allowance from their employer is eligible. This includes full-time, contractual, and outsourced staff.
Where can I use my food card?
The food card is accepted at over 1,800 cities across India, including restaurants, food delivery apps, cafeterias, and grocery outlets selling food and beverages.
Is the food card tax compliant?
Yes. Pluxee’s food card is 100% tax compliant and adheres to Indian labor and tax regulations.
Can I use my food card online?
Absolutely. You can use your food card on selected food delivery platforms and online merchant sites via the “Pluxee” checkout option.
How long is the food card valid?
Each food card comes with a 3-year validity from the date of issue.
What is the food card allowance?
Food card allowance is a monthly pre-loaded amount provided by your employer, used strictly for food-related purchases.
Is the food card secure?
Yes. The card has features like dynamic PINs, real-time alerts, and card blocking/unblocking via the app.

How do I activate my food card?
Simply follow the activation link shared via SMS/email and complete your digital KYC. The food card auto-links to the Pluxee app.
Can the food card be used for groceries?
Yes, but only for food and non-alcoholic beverage items from authorized outlets.
What happens if I lose my food card?
You can immediately block the card via the Pluxee app and request a replacement.
Is the food card only for employees?
Primarily yes, it is designed as a food card for employees, though some companies may extend it to contractors.
What’s the benefit of a food card over cash allowances?
Unlike cash, the food card is tax-advantaged and ensures spending only on food, aligning with compliance requirements.
Can I suggest a new outlet for food card acceptance?
Yes! You can recommend outlets directly in the Pluxee app. Our team will try to onboard them.
Does the food card expire?
Yes, after 3 years. Remaining balances can be transferred to a new card upon renewal.
Can I track my food card transactions?
Yes. All transactions are available in real time on the Pluxee India app for full transparency.
How can I access Pluxee Café?
The Pluxee Café can be accessed by clicking on the shops section of the Pluxee India App. You will be able to make payments for your orders using the Pluxee meal card.
I do not have Pluxee Meal card, how can I get the same?
In case you are not an existing Pluxee meal card user, you must have received the Pluxee meal card on your registered email address. The Pluxee Card is in an inactive mode for security reasons when you receive it. The card must be activated before usage which can be done by following some simple instructions mentioned in the welcome e-mail.
Activate your card online by visiting the card activation portal https://activation.consumers.pluxee.in
• Enter your official registered Email Address/Mobile number
• Enter the 12 digit-card reference number (mentioned in the Welcome email / Letter)
• Click on ‘Get Activation Code’
• Provide your PAN no to complete KYC* (Advisable to click on Full KYC option to complete KYC)
• Enter activation code (received by Email/SMS)
• Complete OTP-based mobile number verification
• Click on ‘Activate Card’*In case PAN no is not available with government databases you will be re-directed to Offline Aadhaar
